(SRC) Part Time/Full Time Position:
Weekdays/Weekends Overall
Responsibilities:
The lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons of Plummer Pool/Centennial Quarry, to prevent accidents and to monitor activities in and around the pool.
Key
Responsibilities:
Follow and enforce all rules and regulations.
Observe all patrons, both in and out of the water, to ensure public safety.
Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid when needed.
Maintain order in swimming area.
Communicate well with the public.
Be professional.
Inspect facility for cleanliness and hazards.
Maintain accurate incident reports.
Complete all records and reports in a timely manner.
Participate in all in-service training.
Maintain a high level of swimming fitness.
Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Perform task and maintain work area in a safe and orderly manner.
Conduct swimming lessons Minimum
Qualifications:
1.
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard/Waterfront Training certificate.
2.
Current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certificate.
3.
An understanding of facility policies, procedures, and rules.
4.
Leadership qualities, public relation skills, and a strong work ethic.
