SUMMARYWe are seeking a Collection Recovery Assistant for our financing arm, Sylvania Acceptance Corporation, which specializes in purchasing and servicing loans for the subprime and deep subprime markets.
This position is responsible for overseeing asset recovery, collection activities, and providing leadership and guidance on all collection matters.
RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure compliance with state and federal credit and collection rules and guidelines Skip trace and analyze financial situations of delinquent borrowers and take appropriate actionFile all claimsDevelop reporting procedures on collection activitiesManage data for delinquencies, garnishments, judgments, and bankruptcy listsUpdate files and system accounts in the loan recovery systemTrack all judgments and revive at appropriate timesREQUIREMENTS3 years of relevant experienceExcellent communication and people skills with contacts inside and outside the companyStrong attention to detail and organization skillsAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityCapable of multi-tasking and effectively plan and prioritize workProficient in Microsoft OfficeDesire to work as a team with a results-driven approachWHAT WE OFFERGreat health benefits - medical, dental, and vision401K with company matchPaid vacationPaid holidaysEmployee discountsAbout the Company:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
